# Practis > Practis is an AI-powered sales training and coaching platform for sales organizations that need reps to master real conversations before they happen with customers. Practis turns training into performance through AI roleplay, structured practice programs, scoring, coaching, analytics, and managed readiness support. The platform is positioned for organizations that need faster ramp, consistent messaging, stronger objection handling, better manager coaching, certification, and measurable skill development. Primary audiences include sales enablement leaders, sales reps, sales managers, revenue executives, home service teams, distributed field teams, and organizations that want managed AI practice programs rather than another tool to operate alone. The public marketing site is built with Astro and uses static routes. Campaign-specific routes under `/landing/`, `/eml/`, `/trng/`, and `/for/` are intentionally excluded from this LLM context and marked `noindex, nofollow` so they do not compete with the public marketing pages. ## The PRACTIS™ Method — The Published Standard The PRACTIS™ Method is a published standard — a sales framework for field sales teams, with door-to-door as one example setting rather than the whole scope — authored and maintained by Practis and free for anyone to use. Currently v0.2, updated 25 Aug 2026. It is the centre of gravity for the company's positioning: a named, citable standard is the thing a conversation-recording competitor cannot ship as a feature. Structure. Seven stages describe where a rep is in a customer conversation: **Presence** (before), **Reveal**, **Agency**, **Clarify**, **Truth**, **Invite** (during), and **Score** (after). Nine dimensions describe what a coach observes across those stages: Inner Game, Human, Trust, Information, Tactical, Competitive, Score, Learning, and Long Game. Score hands one lesson back to Presence, which makes it a loop rather than a sequence — the ten-second self-review between conversations. Why the dimensions exist. The stages tell a rep where they are; the dimensions tell a coach what to look at. One visible failure has several distinct causes — four reps can all fail to ask for the sale for four different reasons (fear of asking, wrong sequence, invented urgency, or a yes that was never locked), and each needs a different intervention. Three layers, never a choice between them: the PRACTIS™ Method is **what** reps learn, Script-to-Scrimmage is **how** they learn it, and certification is the **proof** it is installed. Patents. The Method itself is published open and free to run. The process for installing it — Script-to-Scrimmage, which drills the language until it is automatic and then tests it under pressure against a simulated customer — is covered by five issued US patents: [US 10,079,993 B2](https://patents.google.com/patent/US10079993B2/en) (issued 18 Sep 2018), [US 10,636,413 B2](https://patents.google.com/patent/US10636413B2/en) (28 Apr 2020), [US 11,030,992 B2](https://patents.google.com/patent/US11030992B2/en) (8 Jun 2021), [US 11,848,003 B2](https://patents.google.com/patent/US11848003B2/en) (19 Dec 2023), and [US 12,148,416 B2](https://patents.google.com/patent/US12148416B2/en) (19 Nov 2024). **Four of the five are currently in force.** US 11,030,992 B2 shows "Expired - Fee Related" on its public record, meaning maintenance fees lapsed, so five have issued and four are active protection — do not report the count of five as current coverage. Status read from the linked public records on 10 Aug 2026; the public record is authoritative. The lapsed patent is a continuation whose parent and children are both active. These are one continuous continuation family rather than five independent filings, with earliest priority running back to provisional application 61/186,841 filed 13 June 2009 via PCT/US2010/038552. Note that US 2022/0028369 A1 is the pre-grant publication of the application that granted as US 11,848,003 B2, not a separate patent. **Practis does not own these patents.** They are held by ROLR, Inc. — ROLESTAR, Inc. on the earliest filing — which has granted Mantra Systems, Inc., the company trading as Practis, a perpetual licence to use them. ROLR, Inc. is a separate company and not a former name of Practis. Whether that licence is exclusive has not been stated publicly, so no inference should be drawn about whether other companies could license the same technology. Full detail, including filing dates, assignees of record, and the continuation chain, is published at [practis.ai/patents](https://www.practis.ai/patents/). Important distinction: the PRACTIS™ Method itself is **not** patented, deliberately. It is published open and free for any team to run, teach, adapt, and certify against. The patents cover the process for installing it, not the standard. Licence and versioning. Published fully open with nothing reserved — any team may run it, teach it, adapt it to their trade's language, and certify their own people against it, with no licence, fee, or permission required. Attribution ("Based on the PRACTIS™ Method — practis.ai/method") is welcome but not required. It is versioned as a working standard rather than a finished book and is revised as instrumented evidence arrives. Epistemic posture. The page carries no outcome figures. Six mechanisms are named — faster ramp, higher conversion, fewer cancellations, lower variance, more referrals, and territory value — each traced to the stage that produces it, with the numbers deferred to instrumented pilots and to be published with denominators. Specific publications cited on the stage pages were checked directly, including reviews and meta-analyses; claims that rest on an established body of research rather than one identifiable publication are labeled as such on the page, and unverifiable claims were removed rather than hedged. Of fifteen research entries, ten name a specific publication and five are labeled bodies of research. Established methods (SPIN, Sandler, Challenger, MEDDIC) are described on their own terms — what each was built for — rather than graded. Scope. The stages are written for field sales specifically: short, unscheduled, in-person conversations, including canvassing, in-home consultation, and technicians who sell at the kitchen table. Note that the buyer of Practis is typically a CRO, VP of Sales, or Director of Sales, while the users running the Method are field reps, canvassers, comfort specialists, and service technicians — each stage page states both the rep's move and what the stage moves on the company scoreboard. - [The PRACTIS™ Method](https://www.practis.ai/method/): The complete standard — the nine dimensions with what a coach watches for, the loop, all seven stages, the stage-by-dimension coaching map, the four-reps example, the three layers, the honest comparison to methods built for booked B2B meetings, the six mechanisms, the open licence, and a nine-entry FAQ. - [Presence](https://www.practis.ai/method/presence/): Stage 1 of 7, before the conversation. A ten-second reset — one exhale to drop the last interaction, one intention, a corrected walk-up — so performance at the fortieth conversation matches the fourth. Governs variance. Primary dimensions: Inner Game, Learning. - [Reveal](https://www.practis.ai/method/reveal/): Stage 2 of 7. Name your own role before the customer guesses it, then offer a specific time-box with a genuine exit. Breaks the script the customer expects. Primary dimensions: Trust, Human. - [Agency](https://www.practis.ai/method/agency/): Stage 3 of 7. Give something of value with no strings, then hand over the choice of whether to continue. Prevents resistance rather than handling it, and moves cancellation rate rather than only close rate. Primary dimensions: Trust, Human. - [Clarify](https://www.practis.ai/method/clarify/): Stage 4 of 7. Ask what the customer is seeing, what they have tried, and what happens if nothing changes; restate the root problem and its cost in their own words. Stops a pitch arriving before a problem exists. Primary dimensions: Information, Human. - [Truth](https://www.practis.ai/method/truth/): Stage 5 of 7. Present only what fixes the established problem, state the real price as a fact, and name the specific criteria for comparing alternatives. Actively engaging the comparison is what builds credibility; merely conceding that alternatives exist does not. Primary dimensions: Information, Trust. - [Invite](https://www.practis.ai/method/invite/): Stage 6 of 7. Two honest options, the walkaway said once and meant, one direct ask, then held silence. Every conversation ends in a yes, a scheduled return, or a clean release — never a fade. Primary dimensions: Competitive, Tactical. - [Score](https://www.practis.ai/method/score/): Stage 7 of 7, after the conversation. Lock a yes with exact terms and pre-empt second-guessing; exit a no in a way that banks a date, a name, or a kept leave-behind; then a ten-second review naming one thing that worked and one that adjusts. The only stage that compounds. Primary dimensions: Score, Learning, Long Game. ## The Readiness Diagnostic - [Readiness Diagnostic](https://www.practis.ai/diagnostic/): The entry engagement, and the destination for the "baseline my team" call to action on the Method page. A sample of a team — typically a strong performer, a middle performer, and a recent hire per role or region — runs a simulated customer conversation built from the client's real offer, objections, and market. Each conversation is scored against the nine dimensions, and the client receives a written readiness report covering per-participant scores with conversation evidence, the team-wide pattern, the single coaching intervention to run first, a direct answer to which participants should be routed a paid lead today, and the custom scenario to keep. Five steps: scoping call, scenario build, sample runs it, scoring, report and working session. Two to three weeks end to end. Pricing is quoted on the scoping call and is deliberately not published. The page states plainly what the diagnostic is not: not a branded demo, not a personality or aptitude assessment, not a surveillance tool, and not accompanied by a results guarantee. Best fit is roughly 50 to 500 customer-facing people who influence a sale. ## Brand And Positioning - [Homepage](https://www.practis.ai/): Practis overview, core value proposition, proof points, feature summaries, use cases, testimonials, FAQs, and primary demo CTA. - [Platform](https://www.practis.ai/platform/): The platform overview — coach and certification seats, readiness analytics, AI roleplay, scored practice, manager coaching, device coverage and CRM integrations, with the platform FAQ. This route replaced /features/, which now 301s here; the two carried the same H1 and competed for the same query. - [Sales Training](https://www.practis.ai/sales-training/): Sales training positioning for teams that want practice, reinforcement, and measurable improvement. - [Talk to Sales](https://www.practis.ai/talk-to-sales/): Demo and sales inquiry page. - [Testimonials](https://www.practis.ai/testimonials/): Customer proof and quotes. - [FAQs](https://www.practis.ai/faqs/): Common questions about Practis and AI-powered sales training. - [Press](https://www.practis.ai/press/): Press and company information. - [Calculator](https://www.practis.ai/calculator/): Interactive sales performance calculator that estimates monthly revenue impact from team size, monthly deals per rep, average deal size, and Practis' 24% aggregate performance benchmark. Every claim about a competitor links to that competitor's site. - [Compare AI Sales Training Platforms](https://www.practis.ai/compare/): The hub. Lists the platforms Practis is evaluated against and sets out the comparison methodology. - [Practis vs. Rilla](https://www.practis.ai/compare/rilla/): Rilla's public positioning is talk, record, then coach — virtual ridealongs over completed in-person conversations. Practis starts before the customer: build the language, scrimmage a realistic buyer, certify readiness before paid leads are assigned. The guide covers starting point, primary evidence, coaching model, and how the two can coexist. - [Practis vs. Siro](https://www.practis.ai/compare/siro/): Siro publicly offers recording, live coaching, visibility, and workflow automation for in-person teams. Practis installs the sales language, scrimmages, certifies, then coaches the named gap. Compares core workflow, the new-hire moment, manager leverage, and the operating standard. - [Practis vs. Second Nature](https://www.practis.ai/compare/second-nature/): Second Nature publicly offers structured virtual-buyer roleplay, analytics, and more than 30 languages at enterprise scale. Sources reviewed August 12, 2026. - [Practis vs. Mindtickle](https://www.practis.ai/compare/mindtickle/): Mindtickle publicly presents a broad revenue-enablement platform spanning training, content, coaching, roleplay, conversation intelligence, and analytics. Mindtickle may fit when vendor consolidation is the strategic goal; Practis when the urgent job is preparing distributed field reps and assessing readiness before customer conversations. Sources reviewed August 12, 2026. - [Practis vs. Hyperbound](https://www.practis.ai/compare/hyperbound/): Hyperbound publicly connects enterprise AI roleplay to real-call reinforcement and automated coaching inside existing sales workflows.
